Winter Skin Care Tips

Before you even think about how to take care of your skin, do something that you should be doing anyway - your skin in the least.
drink plenty of water! This is the best tip I can give you in life - water is the key to your body, and when I say body, I mean your skin as well. Your skin needs to remain hydrated, and when you do this, you help build your strength of your skin's cells. Before anything, drink water, and drink plenty of it. This will also keep your body running properly during the winter months. Many people reach for warm beverages, this does not help

Here are some other skin care tips you can take into account for the winter.

1. Remember to wear plenty of sunblock. This not only will protect you from the sun as it beats down, sometimes unnoticed, but also from the wind. Wind is a big factor in the winter as it blows heavily and does a number of things to your face, starting with drying out the skin. For this reason, sunblock is important.

2. Keep your face and skin covered. Sure, it's hectic getting ready for events putting on layers of clothing, but in the end, it saves your skin from being severely damaged. This is especially important if you take part in outdoor activities, such as skiing, ice skating, or hockey. The wind picks up in the winter, and the cold wind can leave your skin dry and flaky. Be sure to cover it properly.

3. Use plenty of moisturizer. Moisturizing your skin is the most important part of any skin care regimen, and this is nothing different in the winter months. Your skin needs to not only stay moist, but also keep protected from harmful elements. This is what a moisturizing cream does best. Use one, and use it frequently. This could be the most important step of a winter skin care regimen.

If you live in an area where the winter months are present, make sure you follow those tips. If you don't, you could end up with severe windburn, sunburn, or even worse - dry skin that is nearly impossible to treat during these cold months.
